The Unit performs total viable microorganisms counts according to the ISO 4833:2013 method.
The count of viable aerobic microorganisms at 30ºC, also called "Total count", expresses the "tota" microbial load of the food that can grow at 30ºC in a non-selective medium. It does not provide information on the type(s) of microorganisms in the food or on their ability to grow in a food or in a refrigerated food (shelf life), so it is an analysis that must be carried out for legislative reasons (compliance with limits). microbiological).
