Detection and plate count of lactic acid bacteria in food samples by conventional method
Internal procedure based on ISO 15224, the test comprises duplicate
Use in fermented foods. Not considered pathogenic but responsible for the alteration of certain products.
In certain situations they are considered indicators of the state of deterioration of the food, therefore it is a complementary parameter to the detection of pathogens.
In fermented foods, their count allows confirming the concentration of viable microorganism present.
Possibility of detection of the genera Lactobacillus, Streptococcus and Bifidobacterium.
