Service description

Two kits are offered, each containing 10 species (harmful/toxic and non-toxin-producing), as well as a third option with 10 species or strains from the COV culture collection selected by the customer. All species include their genetic identification (ribosomal DNA: LSU, SSU or ITS) and corresponding GenBank code(s). The kits include two versions, with volumes of 5 ml and 15 ml for each culture, at a minimum concentration of 5,000 cells/ml in 4% formaldehyde and screw-capped tubes. Toxic Kit (10): Alexandrium minutum, Alexandrium catenella, Amphidinium carterae, Dinophysis acuta, Dinophysis acuminata, Gambierdiscus excentricus, Gambierdiscus silvae, Gymnodinium catenatum, Karlodinium veneficum, Prorocentrum lima. Non-toxic Kit (10): Alexandrium tamarense, Biecheleria tirezensis, Bysmatrum subsalsum, Coolia monotis, Fragilidium subglobosum, Heterocapsa minima, Kryptoperidinium triquetrum, Levanderina fissa, Matsuokaea loeblichii, Ostreopsis cf. lenticularis. Prices vary dependong on whether they are public or private entities. Regarding shipping, the client is responsible for collection and shipping. Prices may be inquired at the national level.
