Service description

Each microinjection session includes the following: 1. Selection of L4 animals* to a new plate the day before the microinjection. 2. Injection of 30-60 animals with the injection mix*. 3. 2 injected animals will be placed per plate. 4. The following day, the plates will be screened under a fluorescence stereoscope**. Positive plates will be labelled and handed over to the user. *The customer should provide the strain needed for injection, as well as the injection mix. FGS can provide advice on preparation of injection mix (plasmid preps, synthetic DNAs/RNAs, etc.). **Assuming the injection mix contain a bright fluorescent marker. Alternatively, all plates will be handed over to the customer. Delivery time: ~2 weeks Deliverables: the customer will receive the selected plates the day after injection, and he/she will be responsible for the identification of desired transgenic animals. Important info: The probability of success is determined by the type of experiment (extrachromosomal array, MosSCI, CRISPR knock-out, CRISPR knock-in..). Therefore, the number of microinjection sessions will be decided by the customer. Each microinjection session performed by the FGS without obvious technical issues will be charged independently of the final outcome.
