Translational neuropsychopharmacology of neurological and psychiatric diseases

Our research group is composed by the principal investigator, one associated research professor, two research assistant professors and two pre-doctoral students. The group belongs to the Spanish Network on Addictive Disorders since 2008. Over the past years, the PI and his team have coordinated 6 basic-clinical research projects, several competitive national projects (highlighting the National Plan for Drug Abuse) and the Scientific Research State Plan. Our work has been published in the best scientific journals (first decile). The PI has more than 4008 citations reaching an H index of 36. The laboratory is focused on the identification of the role of the endocannabinoid system in different psychiatric disorders and addictions with the final aim of identifying new therapeutic targets for the treatment of these pathologies by using different animal models.
