Process Engineering and Control

Process Engineering and Control Group focuses its activity on laboratory scale reactors and micro-scale pilot plants development for research purposes. One of our main work lines is the design of new measurement and control devices for improving the operability and performance of these equipments. Operation scale is a distinctive criterion in the design of our reactors and pilot plants, therefore several devices and instruments have been developed specifically for proper working at micro-scale. Our group develops software and hardware for SCADA systems of our equipments, allowing the highest level of automation even in bench scale and laboratory reactors. New technologies and innovations in the field of electronic and instrumentation are continuously incorporated our developments. Several developments of the group have been patented.
