Polymers and Soft Matter Group

The group of "Polymers & Soft Matter (http://www.sc.ehu.es/sqwpolim/PSMG/) is a well-established and cohesive group of research, which carries out its activity in the “Materials Physics Center (CFM)”. The scientific activity of the group of “Polymers & Soft Matter” deals with the study of materials based on polymers and soft condensed matter. This activity is mainly focused on basic and basic-oriented science. However, our scientific strategy over last years has been to try to develop part of our research activity in close connection with some companies and thereby in problems with some relevance for industrial applications. The group moved in 2010 to a new building of research of the CFM and occupy a complete floor of that building. This gave us the opportunity of installing new laboratories: the laboratory of XR-diffraction (SAXS and WAXS) and the laboratory of chemical synthesis oriented to polymers.
