Plant Ecophysiology and Irrigation
In the ECOVER research group, we focus on studying physiological processes associated with plant responses to water deficit, ranging from those related to growth and production to those involved in plant mortality. After analyzing these processes, we evaluate their application to agronomic and forestry systems. The knowledge generated, combined with the use of models for its integration and the application of technologies for continuous variable monitoring, allows us to address specific issues related to irrigation optimization, growth and development, the identification of drought-resistant species and varieties, as well as processes of decline and mortality.
