Neural and Cognitive Engineering Group

The Neural and Cognitive Engineering Group (gNec) belongs to the Centre for Automation and Robotics (CAR), a CSIC-UPM mixed center. Its main objective is to use the knowledge coming from disciplines such as Automatics, Robotics and Computer Sciences to respond and offer methods and technological solutions to problems related to physical and cognitive disabilities of the human being originated in a misfunction of the Central Nervous System, aspiring to overcome the actual of wearable and soft robots and artificial intelligent tecniques. The research and development that gNec carries out, through its participation in different projects, is complemented by multidisciplinary contributions from the fields of the clinica, neurology and psychology. Currently, the group consists of three researchers on staff, one postdoctoral and five predoctoral researchers.
