Mollusk biology and culture (BICUMOL)
The group consists of two permenet members, a senior researcher and a laboratory technician (graduate).
Specialization: population and quantitative genetics and genomics, genetic markers such as microsatellites or SNPs, transcriptomics, hatchery bivalve culture techniques.
Objective: study of the biology, improvement of the production and conservation of genetic resources of species of molluscs relevant from the point of view of shellfish fisheries and aquaculture (mussels, clams, oysters, etc.), without specifically excluding other marine organisms of commercial or ecological interest . Marine Ecology. Molecular ecology of marine organisms. Mediterranean corals.
