Mineral and Thermal Waters

The Mineral and Thermal Waters Service has an extensive knowledge, derived from many scientific-technical studies carried out during years of providing this service to society. It has a database with information on hydrochemical quality, hydraulic parameters, water source characteristics, etc., that combined with the knowledge generated and the work methodology, allows for scientific-technical actions in this area. These waters, whose characteristics differentiate them from the rest of groundwater (by the degree and type of mineralization, and by its temperature) constitutes the raw material of different industries, generally located in economically depressed areas. Studies about the characterization of hydromineral domains and economic viability, favor the reactivation of these resources, and the enhancement of historical points, contributing to the defense and conservation of this cultural and natural heritage.
