Integrated Circuits and Systems
The Integrated Circuits and Systems (ICAS) design group has been part of CNM since its foundation (1985). With different variations and some reorientation, its essence has always been the microelectronic chips development. Currently, ICAS R&D is organized around: 1) ultra low-power analog, mixed and RF integrated circuits; and 2) technology and design of organic/printed/flexible microelectronics. The group also manages services like electronic systems development with PCB lab and IC-chip test lab, and the recently created “Printed-µE Lab” providing support for the ICAS itself as well as for other R&D projects at IMB. The roadmap of this group should be kept adapted to the CNM R&D environment, both at industrial level (with good scores of joint projects) and at scientific-academic level (in order to combine design expertise with more technological or applied groups), and providing the necessary complement to other IMB projects.
