Electrochemistry and electroactive materials
Synthesis of Electroactive materials and control of their properties and microstructure by electrochemical doping and electrodeposition in various electrode geometries. Aplications in Energy and Bioelectrodes for functional electroestimulation and tissue repair in the central nervous system. Derived from shared Solid state chemistry group that contributed it to crreate and even directed.
The use of soft synthesis methods including electrochemical procedures of doping and crystallzation from precursors, allows to obtain new materials. Hydrothermal and sol gel processes on themselves or combined also help the design of new structures with new electrochemical properties and tunable surface redox properties that can be used in a variety of energy storage devices, catalysis and bio implants for electric field application
