Demographic Dynamics

Research Group on Demographic Dynamics, IEGD, CCHS, CSIC Web: http://demografia.iegd.csic.es/ The activity of the Research Group on Demographic Dynamics began in 2002. On one hand, it is oriented towards basic research in the field of demography, especially in the areas of: fertility, nuptiality, migration and health-mortality, and, on the other hand, towards the realisation of applied demography studies, from a multidisciplinary perspective that includes: economics, sociology, public health, geography, statistics, history... The dissemination of the results from researches and studies is also an important task of the Group. The Group, given its high level of activity, despite having a small number of staff researchers, has obtained funding and resources to maintain more than 40 people hired since its beginning, either through research projects or through various scholarships and contracts for staff training.
