Service description

Andalchron's Raman microscopy service unit offers ancillary sample characterization services aimed solely and exclusively at the characterization of samples associated with Andalchron's mass spectrometry service unit. This service unit has a JobinYvon LabRAM HR80 Raman Microscope. The Horiba Jobin Yvon LabRAM HR system offers ultra-high spectroscopic resolution and a unique wavelength range capability that provides both great flexibility and high throughput. It is an integrated, easy-to-use and highly stable bench top instrument designed for reproducible Raman measurements with high, medium, or even low spectral resolution, equipped with a tape deck and an FPA detector for automatic mapping. It is equipped with two green and red diode laser sources. 1) For quality assurance purposes, only the protocols already established by the service, which have been verified and validated through the quality control of reference materials and participation in inter-laboratory tests, may be used. Due to the high economic cost and extensive time required for the development and verification of new analytical protocols, the service reserves the right to offer new experimental protocols under development within the framework of a collaboration agreement. 2) Discounts may be applied for uses requiring intensive sessions during the night and weekends, according to the terms established by the regulations governing the CSIC's Scientific and Technical Services (SCTs). 3) For internal use (CSIC), this service is only offered in self-service mode (user operation) depending on availability based on service demand. Self-service can only be carried out by trained users, with training for the use of the infrastructure and prior authorization from the technical manager of the service.
