2. Xplore MC 15HT Micro Extruder (High Torque)
15 ml mixer designed for the development of highly viscous polymer formulations. It is equipped with a divisible extruder barrel and two conical, co-rotating, detachable extruder screws, providing excellent mixing in a short time. The MC 15 can be combined with one O Xplore¿s shaping instrument: film line, with a 65 mm wide cast film die.
Characteristics:
- Conical spindles.
- Twin-screw torque 40 Nm over the entire rpm range.
- higher and more stable rpm range: 1- 500 rpm. higher shear rates possible, so better dispersion and higher viscosities and concentrations are possible.
- Maximum operating temperature is 450°C with six heating zones.
Calender :
- Uniform film: the film tension can be adjusted in increments of 1 Nmm.
- Speed controlled take up calender cast roll and a smaller guide roll (optionally air-cooled).
- Continuous feed kit, water-cooled top hopper and two force-feed spindles, allows for easy automatic feeding in continuous extrusion mode.
