Service description
The service life can be calculated in concrete mixes, in new structures and in existing structures. Depending of the case, composition of the concrete and cement type are used in the calculation, also results obtained in carbonation or chloride diffusion tests. Analitycal equations (e.g. 2nd Fick law) or numerical models developed by our research group (LIFEPRED and LIFEPROD for probabilistic calculation of corrosion) will be applied for service life calculation.
Coring of concrete is not included.
