Chien-Shiung Wu
Born on 1913 in Shanghai. She studied Physics and in 1926 she went to do her doctorate in California University, in Berkeley, where she married with L. Chia-Liu Yuan. Radioactivity expert, worked in Manhattan Project during the second world war.
In 1957 Madame Wu experimentally showed the violation of equality for weak interactions confirming the hypothesis posed by T.D. Lee and C.N. Yang, who was awarded with Nobel Prize on Physics in 1957. Madame Wu passed away in New York in 1997.
