The Mediterranean Climate Change Group (GCC) has as its main objective the study of the effects that climate change could have on the Mediterranean Sea and its ecosystems, paying particular attention to the waters surrounding the Spanish coasts, Including the Balearic Islands. The studies carried out by this group are multidisciplinary in nature, since they aim to understand the effects on physical, chemical and biological variables.

The AQUAMIND research group is made up of researchers and technicians from the El Bocal Marine Aquaculture Plant of the Santander Oceanographic Centre who, since 2016, have begun to transform the line of research followed until then, which focused mainly on solving various problems in the farming of flatfish such as turbot and sole and technology transfer to the industrial sector towards new lines of research such as polychaetes farming and multi-trophic aquaculture. At present, the main lines of research are 1. AQUACULTURE OF LOW TROPHIC LEVEL SPECIES AND BIOEXTRACTIVE AQUACULTURE. 2.
