THEORY AND SIMULATION

The Theory and Simulation Group focuses on the theoretical study of the atomic and electronic structure of nanoscale systems, including the dynamics in response to external excitations. Our activities include the development of methods and simulation tools, and the application of these to problems such as nanoscale electronic transport phenomena, the simulation of STM images and STS spectra, and the interaction of molecules with surfaces, among many others. The group is formed by three permanent researchers from CSIC (one Research Professor, one Scientific Researcher, and one Tenured Scientist), plus a variable number of Postdocs and PhD Students.
