Photonics for energy and sustainable environment (PEASER)

The Photonics for Energy and Sustainable Environment Research Group at IO-CSIC conducts cutting-edge research to achieve affordable, clean energy and sustainable development. The group is co-directed by Dr. Raquel Caballero and Dr. Martin Lopez with two well-defined research lines: • The Technologies for Energy (TEN) Laboratory, led by Dr. Raquel Caballero Mesa, focuses on proposing and designing advanced materials and devices for sustainable energy with a focus on emerging photovoltaic materials mainly based on chalcogenides. • The Biotic Photonics (BIPHOT) Laboratory, led by Dr. Martin López García, explores the role of nanophotonic structures in living organisms and their uses as a blueprint for sustainable nanophotonics implementations including energy harvesting.
