María Antonia Zorraquino Zorraquino

She obtained her doctorate at the Faculty of Sciences of Zaragoza in 1930, being the only woman among 23 men in her class.

Her work was carried out at the Laboratory of Biochemical Research under the direction of Gregorio Rocasolano. The title of her thesis was Investigations on Stability and Electric Charge of Colloids.

After her marriage to professor Juan Martín Sauras, professor at University of Zaragoza, she had to leave the Chemistry Laboratory where she worked.
