The Delegate Committee for Equality (CDI) was formed on September 26th, 2011 implementing point 5 of the 1st Plan for Equality between women and men in AGE and its public bodies. It brings together the representation of Trade Union Organizations and the Administration, representing all CSIC staff (researcher, technical and management).
CDI’S Mission
CDI of CSIC has as main objective to assure equality of opportunities for all the Spanish National Research Council staff. This implies fostering non-discrimination at work and foster equality. The Committee can carry out specific measures to prevent discrimination, foster traineeship in equality and periodically evaluate CSIC’s policies to guarantee that they adjust to equality and non-discrimination principles. Equality of opportunities is key for CSIC’s success and for a more fair and equitable future for all its staff.
CDI’s Functions
Through CSIC, CDI has implemented different actions in order to guarantee gender equality in the Council’s workplace. Among these actions include:
1) Elaboration of the successive CSIC Equality Plans as a tool to establish measures that allow to achieve equality.
