Modulators of protein-protein interactions
The group's activity focuses on the search for Protein-Protein Interaction Modulators with biomedical applications. Currently, the group is focused on the development of: a) molecular tools to open new avenues for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases; b) preclinical candidates with novel mechanisms of action to develop direct-acting antivirals; c) fluorescent probes for bioimaging.
The group collaborates with national and international groups in electrophysiology, virology, molecular modeling, pharmacology, and photophysics for both the advancement of their projects and the multidisciplinary training of young researchers developing their scientific careers within the group.
Projects funded by: a) MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and “FEDER-EU”; b) European Union under the HORIZON Europe program NAVIPP project.
