CSIC-Instituto Cervantes Lectures

Each year, Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) programme jointly these conferences with the aim of making known scientific and technical advances and their protagonists. These conferences are grouped in diverse programmes that address all areas of knowledge, from the environment to nutrition or history.

They arise within the framework of the collaboration agreement between the institutions in 2006, in force until 2020. Since the collaboration started, 50 CSIC researchers have visited more than 30 Cervantes Institute venues in Europe, Asia, America, Oceania and Africa.

During 2019, ten conferences distributed in the following programs will be organized:

  • Environment and sustainability: architecture and sustainable construction
  • Oceans 500 years later
  • Artificial intelligence and robotics
