PRE2023- Multifunctional metal-based tools for several applications (PID2022-136861NB-I00)

The scope of the work is within the field of luminescent coordination complexes as well as their composites. We focus on understanding and modulation the emissive properties with the aim of building suitable complexes for OLED design, primarily through searching for TADF emissions by connecting different building blocks that can be modified. Some examples of our work include publications in Inorg. Chem.: 2023, 26, 10431–10439; 2021,60, 18521–18528; 2020, 59, 14447-14456. Additionally, we are interested in the role of these emissive species in photocatalysis. Therefore, candidates will develop experience in coordination chemistry (synthesis and characterization) and acquire a background in applications related with luminescence.
