PRE2023 Nuclear Astrophysics at CERN n_TOF and applications (PID2022-138297NB-C21)

The candidate will conduct research in experimental nuclear physics dealing with neutron-capture experiments at the CERN n_TOF facility. These experiments are relevant for the understanding of the origin of the heavy elements (>Fe) in the Universe. The candidate is expected to implement computing techniques for the design and optimization of the capture experiment, lead the preparation and realization of the experiment at CERN, as well as the data analysis and subsequent publications.
