Ciudad Ciencia

Ciudad Ciencia is a scientific outreach project whose purpose is making known from first-hand scientific and technological news for inhabitants of remote localities of large urban centres. The project provides participant cities outreach scientific activities in multiple formats (exhibitions, conferences, visits to research centres, etc.) that are included within each municipality’s cultural programme, as well as online workshops with citizen participation. All activities and workshops haven been created by CSIC researchers and are intented for the general public, with special attention to young people.

Boosted by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the initiative has more than 40 participating municipalities.
